This new Vacuum Switch is used on all models/years, replacing the older metal housing with a durable hard plastic body - no more rust and leaks.

A correct working stove maintains a vacuum pressure on the air intake side, controlled by the vacuum switch. If you by-pass this switch and you stove works again, either your vacuum switch is bad, or there is no sufficient vacuum or both.

If you simply bypass the vacuum switch, your stove may working again. But, you still DON'T have a sufficient vacuum in your burning chamber, and deadly carbon monoxide may get released into your room.
A correct damper setting (air supply) and clean exhaust system are essential for proper operation! The burning pellets should move (wiggle) around slightly, and the flame should be bright yellow.
Notice:
Your new switch has the microswitch built inside the housing, protected from heat and dust. There are some cheaper switches for sale, but they will not last very long!
This switch is specially made for your stove with
just TWO electric connectors and only ONE tubing-port
for easy replacement. Some generic switches on the market have three electrical connections and two ports to install the wires and hose; a bit confusing - which one will you use?
Stove parts get less reliable as time passes, especially vacuum and safety switches. It is a good habit to replace such elements on your stove, even if it does not always solve the main problem.
