Madame Alexander Alexander-kins Wendy At Home Dress

This crisp little tagged dress is in excellent condition.  It is made of bright blue checked tafetta, with a full circle skirt and a shoulder wrap of fabric that, according to Patricia Smith, in The World of Alexander-kins, is sometimes accented with a flower and is sometimes left completely plain.  This particular one still has the threads from where is was cinched and held a flower, but the flower is missing.  The threads could be easily removed without affecting the value of the dress, or a vintage flower could be added.  I'll leave that up to the new owner.  It has a row of delicate ruffled lace stitched to the underside of the hem, which is present and in great condition, to peek out from under the folds of the dress.  There are two square snaps for fastening in back, both of which are present and in good working order.  Other than the flower, I can't find anything wrong with this dress.  A great Alexander-kin piece!
