Rare 1949 18” Madame Alexander Little Genius, All Original, EC, Very Cute!. Condition is "Used", but hard to find in excellent condition. Her tagged Alexander Little Genius dress and matching bonnet is pale blue “silky” rayon type of fabric that you often find with holes and wear, but her outfit is in excellent condition. I can’t find any holes, mends, rips, etc. she has her original rayon blue undergarments, fastened with safety pin. Original shoes and socks. I don’t see any major stains or flaws…a really nice doll in her “original owner” condition.
Her head is hard plastic, very nice, (look closely at photos) eyes and lashes good, original mohair wig with original curls and set. Her body is cloth. Clean. Her arms and legs are latex, magic skin, and in super nice condition with a little color variance, but soft and supple with no breaks.
This doll is from my mother’s estate in as found condition, although she was also a collector and appreciated how difficult it is to find this example in excellent condition. She safely was stored in a box, no smoke or moldy smells.
