  • Condition: Very Good condition. A few joint rubs on hip joints, see photo. Suntan body and complexion. No odor. Brunette Hair in ORIGINAL set -- could have been a Little Women doll, redressed. Knit cream vintage panties, cotton slip with trim, stockings, cotton dress with pockets, shoes, vintage doll chain and heart locket, cotton woven shawl -- no stains, flaws. Kept in SMOKE FREE and PET FREE home in darkened doll room. Stringing is a bit loose; head holds well but legs are a tad loose, could be restrung. Still holds poses, see photos.

    Description

    Offered here is a rare Brunette Margaret doll by Madame Alexander, 17 inches tall, redressed in a cotton country school girl outfit, with knee high stockings and brown wide brim hat. She comes with knit vintage panties and an ivory cotton slip, with tulle ruffles so its struts nicely under her dress. The dress is brown cotton with two large patch pockets with an ivory knit shawl over her shoulders. She has a vintage  chain necklace with heart on it around her neck.
    A doll stand is included
    so that she will be ready for display on arrival.
    This doll has the exquisite face of the Margaret dolls, the full lips, large open and close eyes, two-stroke eyebrows, rosy cheeks and high forehead. This doll's hair has a center stitched part and is pulled up into two top knots, one on each side of her head at the back, pinned with hair pins, and loose hair to the nape of her neck at the back.
    The hair style reminds me of the vintage Little Women dolls and I wonder is she might have been one?
    She has the suntan body color and complexion of the vintage Margaret dolls. At the back, near her hip joints there is some staining in her finish. I do not know if it is from the joints rubbing in play or from use. See last photo. Her price has been reduced accordingly.
    This doll has no odor. She has been kept in a darkened doll room in my SMOKE FREE and PET FREE home in a display cabinet.
